Work is moving something for example if you lift a baby up it is work and if you are just walking with it then its not work.
The direction of force effects the direction of motion because whichever way you push an object that is the way its going to go. And pushing something to move it would be considered work.

Work is were you move something, for example; if you lift a baby up you are working, but if you are walking with a baby in your arms, it is not working.
The relationship of them is that the direction of force effects the direction of motion because which ever way you are forcing an object then it will go that way and forcing something to move is work.
NOTES:
Same direction of force and same direction of motion is not work.

The rube goldberg is not finish due to people stealing stuff the drawings are finished but the mechanical advantage is not because I do not understand it.
